1、英语(旅游方向)

一、培养目标 

本专业培养德、智、体、美全面发展,具有扎实的英语专业知识和专业技能,并具有一定的相关专业知识和广博的人文素养,应用能力强,适应社会,富有创新精神,能在外事、经贸、文化、教育、科研、管理、旅游、新闻出版等部门从事翻译、研究、教学、管理等工作的高素质复合型英语高级人才。

二、培养规格与要求

本专业学生主要学习英语国家语言、文学、历史、政治、经济、外交、社会文化等方面的基本理论和基本知识,接受英语听、说、读、写、译等方面的系统训练,掌握涉外旅游行业管理与服务所需的基本知识、基本技能,熟悉我国国际旅游业发展方针、政策和法规,具有良好的职业道德,能够能运用所学专业英语胜任涉外旅游行业、企事业单位的服务、经营以及管理工作。

三、主干课程

英语精读、高级英语、英语泛读、英语外报阅读、英语听力、外台听力、英语口语、英语语法、英语写作、英语高级写作、笔译、口译、旅游文化、旅游英语、美国经济与文化、英美文学、语言学导论、旅游概论、旅行社管理等。

四、就业领域

中英文导游员;海外领队;涉外旅游景区管理服务人员;国际旅行社管理服务人员;五星级外事酒店管理服务人员;国际邮轮管理服务人员;企事业单位外事接待管理服务人员、涉外会展公司策划师、礼仪培训师等。

五、资格证书

英语专业四、八级证书、全国导游资格证书(中英文)、旅游计调师、会展策划师、普通话等级证、全国计算机考试等级证书等。

English (Tourism)

Goals of Education

This major aims at cultivating English senior talents with a solid professional knowledge and professional skills of English, certain professional knowledge and extensive cultural literacy, strong practical and innovative ability who are developed morally, intellectually, physically and artistically, well-adapted to the society, and could manage translation, research, teaching and management in establishments of foreign affairs, trade, culture, education, scientific research, management, tourism, press and publication.

Specifications and Requirements of Education

Students in this major mainly study basic theories and  knowledge in English language, literature, history, politics, economy, diplomacy, society and culture, accept systematic training in English listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating. Students are required to master basic knowledge and skills needed in management and service of foreign tourism industry, get familiar with China's international tourism development guidelines, policies, laws and regulations, have good work ethics, and manage the service, operation and management in foreign tourism industry, enterprises and institutions with their professional English.

Chinese and English tour guides; Overseas escort; Foreign-related scenic area management staff; International travel agency management services; Five-star hotel management; International ship management services; Foreign reception management service in enterprises and institutions, International convention and exhibition designers, Etiquette trainer, etc.

TEM 4 and TEM 8 Certificates, The National Tour Guide Certificate (both in English and Chinese), Travel Planner, Exhibition Planners, Mandarin Chinese Certificate, National Certificate of Computer, etc.

2、英语(酒店管理方向)

一、培养目标 

本专业培养德、智、体、美全面发展,具有扎实的英语专业知识和专业技能,并具有一定的相关专业知识和广博的人文素养,应用能力强,适应社会,富有创新精神,能在外事、经贸、文化、教育、科研、管理、旅游、新闻出版等部门从事翻译、研究、教学、管理等工作的高素质复合型英语高级人才。

二、培养规格与要求

本专业学生主要学习英语国家语言、文学、历史、政治、经济、外交、社会文化等方面的基本理论和基本知识,接受英语听、说、读、写、译等方面的系统训练,熟悉旅游行业现状,具有酒店管理、酒店服务等基本知识和技能,具备旅游服务技能,酒店各岗位服务技能,能胜任高星级酒店(宾馆、酒店)及餐饮企业的管理和服务工作。

3、酒店管理(国际酒店管理方向)

一、培养目标 

本专业培养具有较强的英语交际能力,熟悉涉外酒店、星级饭店的基本管理理论和方法,熟练掌握前厅、客房、餐饮、会议、康乐服务与管理的技能,面向涉外宾馆、饭店、假日酒店、度假村、国际餐饮连锁机构,从事中级管理与服务工作的应用型人才。

二、培养规格与要求

本专业学生应掌握一定的英语听、说、读、写知识, 具有较好的英语交际能力,熟悉我国基本国情和英语国家的社会文化。掌握现代酒店经营管理的理论、方法和手段,了解相关的行业发展动向。熟悉酒店前厅、客房、餐饮、康乐等部门的业务知识。 熟悉我国旅游及酒店业发展的方针、政策和法规。 掌握酒店前厅、客房、餐饮等服务技能。

英语语音、英语精读、英语泛读、英语听力、英语口语、酒店实务英语、饭店管理学、会计学基础、前厅与客房服务、餐饮服务与管理、酒店公关营销、旅游客源国概况、会议服务与管理、旅游学概论、酒店人力资源管理、国际酒店业。

Hotel Management(International Hotel Management)

Goals of Education

This major aims at cultivating practical hotel management talents with a strong English communicative ability, who are familiar with the basic management theory and practice of foreign-related hotels and star-rated hotels, master the service and management skills in the front office, guest room, dining hall, conference and recreation service and are able to undertake the mediate-level management and service in foreign-related hotels, restaurants, holiday hotel, resort, international restaurant chain institutions.

Specifications and Requirements of Education

Students in this major should master certain knowledge of English in listening, speaking, reading and writing, good English communication skills, familiarize themselves with China's basic national conditions and the social culture of English-speaking countries, master modern hotel operation and management theories, methods and approaches, understand the current industrial trends. Students should also familiarize themselves with the knowledge of practice in the hotel departments as the front desk, guest room, dining hall, entertainment center, and the guidelines, policies, laws and regulations in our country’s tourism and hotel management industries. Students should master the service skills in the front office, guest room, dining hall, and entertainment center.
